The Episcopal-Ease section of this website is designed to help you become more comfortable with the jargon, signs and ritual of the Episcopal Church.  The following subjects are explained, shown or otherwise covered:

The Sacraments of the Episcopal Church (click here)
are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain means by which we receive that grace.  There are 2 great sacraments and 5 sacramental rites.   Learn about them here.

What is an Episcopalian? (click here)  Ever wonder what makes Episcopalians tick?  Maybe you'll find one of the reasons you are in the Episcopal Church listed on this page .  Whatever the reason, we're very, very happy to have you here with us.

Chancel?  What is a Chancel?  (click here)  Do you know? Or how about the Nave, the Rearados, the Sacristy, the Crossing?  This page of Episcopal-Ease is a drawing (not to scale) of the inside of St. Martin's with all the above places labeled (and a few more also).  Have fun "dropping names" once you've viewed this page. (Will be live soon)

Stuff We Do During the Service (click here)  can be confusing or foreign to folks, even if they've been Episcopalians all their lives.  It is doubly so for someone who is new to the Episcopal Experience.  This seriesof videos by Father Matthew from Grace Church, Rye, NY, is a good explanation, albeit light-hearted) of what we do during our services.
